When first putting together this web site, I actively
solicited input from all three commands in the CBI; the ATC, Combat Cargo, and
Troop Carrier. From the Troop Carrier
units, only Eugene Trent responded. Mr. Trent
was a member of the 27th Troop Carrier Squadron. He contributed the following history of the 27th
