The Kunming China Memorial
A MEMORIAL TO THE HUMP FLIGHT The "Memorial to the HUMP Flight" in Kunming was erected by a Chinese aviation group. A number of HUMPSTERS from the CBIHPA attended the dedication. This memorial is strong testimony to the gratitude of the Chinese people for the assistance given by the allies during WWII. This monument is strictly a memorial to the operation. The sculptures on either side of the uprights represent a Chinese aviator with an American aviator on one side, and a Chinese aviator with a Soviet aviator on the other.
